During their hiatus from iCarly, Jerry Trainor and Jennette McCurdy are going to be busy shooting a new Nick movie called “Best Player”. To the uninitiated, Jerry Trainor plays Spencer and Jennette plays Sam Puckett on our favorite TV show, iCarly. Best Player is supposed to start shooting film this week.

The made for TV movie, is about a thirty-something champion gamer who doesn’t want to grow up and still lives with his parents in the basement. Of course this character is perfect for Jerry Trainor to play. Jennette plays a teen champion called the “Prodigy” who comes along to challenge the aging gamer a hard run for the championship.

Marjorie Cohn, a Nick executive was quoted as saying that their movie strategy is to take the up and coming stars from thier live-action hits and feature them in their own movies. And according to the exec, Jerry Trainor and Jennette McCurdy were at the top of their list! Just like at Disney, TV movies have become big business at Nick and other channels. They are relatively cheap to produce and have a big draw from the stars’ large fan bases. We can’t wait to watch Jennette and Jerry go at it in the “Best Player”.

In two star studded special episodes, Miranda Cosgrove, Jerry Trainor, Victoria Justice, and other Nickelodeon stars will join in the fun as they play the game, “Brain Surge”. 

BrainSurge is packed with fun-filled challenges that have kids test their level of recollection and attention skills while having a ton of fun, and, kids watching at home can join the in on the fun by going online to play games that will help them get ready for the games on the TV show.

How the Game Works: 

When kids are eliminated, they get fun prizes while the ultimate winner receives the top prize… a giant and messy,  sliming.

Just this past week Miranda Cosgrove and Jerry Trainor were seen driving around Hollywood in an orange Cadillac promoting and filming for a brand new TV show – “Hollywood Hangout”. 

According to reports, the Caddillac stopped at the famous Hollywood and Highland intersection and gave away an autographed flip-flop and a pepperoni-pizza.   There were 2 lucky fans who got the opportunity to cruise around in the Caddy with Miranda and Jerry, and to conduct an interview with Miranda.  

Miranda tweeted about the filming “On my way to film an episode of a new show called “Hollywood Hang” with Jerry.”   and “We get to drive around all day in an orange, convertible, vintage car. If your in the Hollywood area u might c us looking like nerds.”

Just the other day on the set danwarp, aka Dan Schneider, and Jerry Trainor got together to scare sweet Miranda Cosgrove.  Here is what danwarp posted about their plans- “I’m about to get Jerry Trainor to help me scare the snot of out Miranda ON VIDEO. If it works, I’ll post the video. Stand by…”  The he posted the following “VIDEO: Jerry and I were successful. We just scared Miranda. It happened 2 minutes ago. Watch—->”

This wasn’t enough for the dastardly danwarp as he tweeted about plans to scare Miranda once again “We’re gonna “get” Miranda AGAIN today! It’s going to be a fantastic practical joke. Stay tuned…” and “Miranda is being too suspicious to scare easily. Sooo, Jerry and I working on a more elaborate plan to TERRIFY her somewhere AWAY from work!”

Miranda tweeted back “On my way to the studio. Yesterday Jerry and Dan played a joke on me! Any ideas on how I can get them back?”  and “I’m the practical joke master! There’s no way I’ll be tricked again! haha”

Dan Schneider has posted a picture of Lisa Kudrow with Jerry Trainor on the set of iCarly.  You can see it here.  Does this mean that Lisa will be a guest star?  Or is her daughter simply a big fan of the show?  We’re betting on both by the way!  What do you think.
