iTake On Dingo – A Tongue-In-Cheek at Disney
We watched the new iCarly episode “iTake On Disney” and noticed quite a few things which seemed to indicate that the iCarly folks were giving Disney a good old ribbing of sorts.
The similarities between Disney and the Dingo company on iCarly are many. The company name is Dingo, which starts with a D. like Disney and only has two vowels. The Dingo company also has its own channel and was started by it’s beloved founder Charles Dingo around 60 to 70 years ago. Also very much Disney-like with Walt Disney being the founder and having started Disney in 1923 with his brother. But the biggie is the rumor that Charles Dingo’s head was cryogenically frozen. There have been rumors around for years that Walt Disney’s head was detached and cryogenically frozen. Here is a link to a Google search for Walt Disney’s head
We wonder if the iCarly creators were just having a little fun, or, if this is the indication that the Disney creation for a similar show to iCarly are true and this is iCarly’s way of throwing some grief Disney’s way. With iCarly’s growing fanbase and success, we feel that Disney’s pseudo iCarly show may be premiered this fall. If this is the case, the iTake On Dingo episode, were the Dingo writers were copying a ton of things from iCarly, was iCarly’s creators way of sticking their tongue out at Disney as well they should.

I’ve noticed that too and if they do copy iCarly in the future at all, I say Disney should be sued or put on iCarly and be humiliated just like the writers for Dingo were at the end.
This episode was so funny for this reason! I loved it. That’s what Disney gets for not coming up with their own stuff. lol This episode sure gets a 5/5

If Disney did make a show similar to iCarly, I’d have to guess it’s that dumb new show, Sonny with a Chance. I haven’t really watched it, but it’s about a girl who suddenly becomes part of a TV show and the actual show is about her and her friends/co-workers making the “hit TV show.”
If that’s not it and I’m just thinking too broadly, then perhaps it’s just Nickelodeon poking fun at Disney in general. I suppose there would be competition between these two networks.
Ah, who knows? But thank you for blogging this. I totally thought the same thing when I watched it.

And if you noticed, the show totally terry, was a parody of Hannah Montanan. you can tell by the corny lines they have like “peanuts” (sweet nibblets) or something like that.
